Inspiring hauora with schools

Supporting tamariki and rangatahi to enjoy active lives helps build a healthier and thriving Tāmaki Makaurau.

Providing strategic oversight and funding, Aktive works with and through its delivery partners to provide play, physical education, active recreation and sport opportunities for young people in schools and kura. This helps our tamariki and rangatahi build healthy habits for life.

Aktive provides advice, resources, professional development, local support and facilitates partnerships between play, active recreation, sport, education and health organisations, with our System Build Partners CLM Community Sport, Harbour Sport, Sport Auckland, Sport Waitākere and College Sport Auckland.

Korikori focuses on building a system across Auckland, enabling young people aged 5 to 18 years to be active through play, physical education, active recreation and sport in schools and kura.
