Developing Your Organisation

Sector Developers are the people who deliver community workshops, facilitate learning, provide mentoring and resources and generally support people who manage sports clubs, active recreation facilities and programmes within the community. Within our Auckland Sector Developer Training programme you will work with others to upskill yourself in your role as a sector developer across the various settings in which you work.

Initial Sector Developer Training

Delivered over two days, you’ll take part in a mixture of workshops, discussions, practical sessions, individual and group feedback and opportunities for self-reflection. You’ll work with facilitators and will receive special tools that contain useful tips and information on performing the sector developer role. By the end you will be well on the way to providing inspiring development workshops and equipped to provide other support opportunities for administrators.

Ongoing Sector Developer Support

Following the initial training you will be invited to attend one-day extension modules for additional learning and skill development opportunities. Here you can start thoughtful discussions with your fellow sector developers, ask questions and work together to build a sector developer community that improves learning experiences for Auckland administrators. Plus you can access the latest toolkits and resources as you continue to gain new ideas and information to put into practice.
