Behind any great club or organisation is an even greater group of people making it happen. To support this, Aktive and delivery partners CLM Community Sport, Harbour Sport, Sport Auckland and Sport Waitakere are proud to provide a suite of tools to boost your clubs’, codes’ and/or groups’ understanding, skills and resources.

We have collaboratively compiled a library of resources and are training people to help develop your organisation’s capability as part of the Auckland Approach to Community Sport.

A key pillar of this community sport strategy, sector development is all about improving the capability of people who administer their code, club, community group or organisation – in whatever role they have. There are a number of development options for people, including toolkits, training courses and workshops, online articles, SportTutor and more on the way.

These resources and approaches are based on insights and good practice examples from across our city, with the goal of co-creating a world-class sport system in Tāmaki Makaurau, community by community.

Following the inaugural Organised Sport Survey, we’re already enhancing these resources based on the information we’ve received. What’s more, we’ll be revisiting them regularly to ensure we’re providing the most current information possible.

To help your code, club, community group or organisation to develop, jump online here to:

  • Download the library of toolkits
  • Read the latest insights, information and ideas
  • Book a workshop to learn as a group
  • Access online learning tools

Aktive and Regional Sports Trust / Partners are proud to provide this support and look forward to further developing the sector together – after all, sharing examples will help us continue to boost our collective knowledge and impact.

Please contact us if you would like to talk through any of these resources and / or assistance for your club and / or code. For information regarding geographic sector development work please contact your Regional Sports Trust/Partner:
