Safeguarding & Child Protection Webinar - Clubs

Join us, and Ruth Browning, Senior Safeguarding Consultant, Safeguarding Children for an information session on Safeguarding and child protection practices.   

Ruth is a qualified Social Worker and member of the Social Workers Registration Board with a current practicing certificate. She has been a social worker for 20 years and has a wide range of experience working with children, youth and their families in both non-government and government organisations. This experience includes as a Social Worker and Family Group Conference
Co-ordinator for Oranga Tamariki for several years. 

This webinar is tailored for clubs and will cover: 

• What is ok and isn’t ok in our clubs  
• Codes of conduct in practice  
• Safe recruitment, not just Police vetting  
• Responding to a concern about a child, the difficulties and barriers  
• Recording child safety concerns, important considerations and learnings
