Auckland is a diverse and increasingly changing city that faces a rapidly growing population and changing demographics as well as being subject to global trends on how people participate and engage in sport and recreation.
As a sport sector, it is increasingly important to have the knowledge and insights to adapt with these changes and be at the forefront of gathering new insights to ensure we are meeting the needs and wants of the Aucklanders we service.
At Aktive we are committed to service the Auckland Sport sector by participating in or leading research that will help sports adapt to this changing Auckland.

Aktive, Sport New Zealand (Sport NZ) and Auckland Council engaged innovate change to run a social innovation process in order to help more people, particularly Samoan and Indian Aucklanders, get involved in sport and recreation. Read the Insights and Implementation Framework document below.
Active Citizens Worldwide
Active Citizens Worldwide (ACW) is a global initiative set up to help cities across the world achieve a positive step-change in the physical activity levels of its citizens, through multi-city collaboration, best-practice sharing and global benchmarking. Aktive has signed up Auckland to be one of the founding cities along side London and Singapore.
